Glad you mentioned that. JW activism isn't a welfare state. Just because they are dependent on it doesn't make it right. Remember the Kingdom Hall Fund and how they always brought it up like it was going for a greater good? Money just seemed to disappear into what was essentially a slush fund for the GB and their wives.

Time to call a spade a spade and I'm not ignoring the elephant in the room here anymore. These donated funds were intended by the vast majority of donors to go into making professional looking videos. Not trips to Thailand or taking wifey and girls on their yearly Italian trip.

We called JWs out on it and it shouldn't be any different in this case.

Lloyd claims to have brought criminal charges against 7 people in Croatia about 1 month ago. What happened to that?

I think that deep down in the deep fried and greasy cheese curd filled head of his that he knows this doesn't work that way. Even on popular crime dramas you don't see civilians waddle up to courthouses with dossiers ready to file against online hooligans.

This begs the question of why he laid out his grand legal scheme in front of everyone to see. His answer to the many who were giving him shit on Twitter when he announced the filing was revealing:

Evans clearly values being able to label his critics as "defendants" over any real intrinsic value. What he doesn't get is that he quite easily could have been labelled the same by someone with enough time on their hands to compile all his admissions and sending them to foreign police departments in Thailand, Croatia, and "other countries" where prostitution is in violation of the legal code. Even Marc and others who handed the police information about his activities and got a case number don't refer to Lloyd as a "defendant". "Don't donate to Lloyd Evans or give his channel any views. He's a defendant in a criminal lawsuit!"

I do think he'll try something in a civil case but it'll be another clusterfuck. I don't know if the UK allows pro se self representation, but I can see something along the lines of paying a legal clerk to type something up and Lloyd "Atticus Finch" Evans filming himself with his messy hair flailing in the wind going up the steps to a courthouse with box of papers. It's all about the show and he's about to give us one.

PS, All I wanted to do with this post was to call him a deep fried cheese curd with the mental imagery of him "waddling up" to a courthouse, but I decided to make a post out of it. Hope Lloyd is enjoying THIS show.

Then it really was a stupid move to make all these threats that were so specific. He said that regardless of the criminal case result he was filing civil suits.

I think he is high on the spectrum. We’re in virgin territory here and he’s never been challenged and humiliated in this manner. If Kim’s estimate of him making $130,000 per year is accurate, then he conceivably has the funds to try.

I think he might be foolish enough to do this.

That would leave Marc and Cora Latham as the easiest target since they live in England. Lloyd is big on snapping back at people and Marc is remembered for the line “James Lloyd Evans, turn yourself in to the police” after he handed them the Marko dossier.

This was the point I was getting at. The Lathams are the most convenient targets for him and if he can’t sue them, he’s not realistically getting to anyone else.

I’m old enough to remember Lloyd publicly complaining about a 118 page thread about him.

As for the London trip, I think it is possible that he’s seeing lawyers to initiate civil proceedings. It is my understanding that British law makes suing someone for defamation and libel a lot easier than in other countries. I believe there are at least two parties he can use this against based on their residency - Marc and Cora Latham and JW Beliefs Discussed.

I think he’s angry at being lampooned for his legal threats and is desperate for something (anything) to stick. So he’ll go for the most convenient targets.

Never underestimate the desperate means a broken man will go to in order to vindicate himself.

How to spot a Cedarite:

Outright denial they are one.

Relate some banal anecdote relating how they disagreed with him publicly and lived to tell the tale.

Despite allegedly disagreeing with him in the past over something comparatively minor, they seem to always take his side when something major & career threatening happens.

Insist everyone is obsessing over him.

Why doesn't Lloyd take his own advise on point 8? Lloyd Evans, you have people from all over the world's permission to go away and find a new way to make money.

Lloyd's been threatening to quit for years. He did the same when he was here, threatening to leave for good and quit activism when a thread wasn't going his way. It's his way of drumming up comments begging him to stay and it's safe to say he gets off on it.

He simply can't quit due to the fact he has nothing else. He is not fluent in Croatian and unless he wants to pick tomatoes and raise chickens for the in-laws, he's unemployable where he is currently at. If his activism gets to the point where it's not pulling in enough money and his wife/in-laws finally show him the door, he'd be forced to return to the UK and work an entry level job. "I made YouTube videos for years about Jehovah's Witnesses" is not something that looks great on a C.V.

I think Tibor should scrape together jobs he has done “other than” the John Cedars channel to fill in the “time he spent” working for Lloyd when he writes up his current resumé.

That's just it. This isn't real "job" experience any more than if you helped your local dog shelter set up their web page and got paid for it. If he thinks whatever real job he is going to go for is going to take a reference from this slovenly British man living out of his Croatian in-law's attic then he's sadly mistaken. The reference itself would be all about him and a complete joke...

I don’t want Tibor to be unemployed, but I’m genuinely curious as 540 was the level he had to reach to hire a video editor.

The benchmarks are only marketing techniques designed to encourage more patronage by promising new and better things. There is a number in that fat head of his where he will have to lay Tibor off, but I don't think it is yet. To sack him would be an admission of failure and contrary to his claims on the Gold interview that the majority still support him. But make no mistake, he's seething inside and you'll see a lot of cancelled Patron calls and such with the rationalisation that it's no longer a priority due to the loss of income.

I wouldn't worry about Tibor. If he's basing his financial strategy on how much he can draw from a notoriously cheap and dishonest man with a variable revenue stream who also admitted on camera to using company funds on sex workers, then the guy needs a slap of reality.
